If We Must Marvel

The Park Slope Singers kick off our 25th anniversary season with a selection of works of reflecting beginnings, creation, evolution, and the nature of human achievement. We Watch in Stunned Amazement (premiere)

Members of American-Prize Winning ensemble The Valley Winds will present the premiere of "We Watch in Stunned Amazement (as Chrysippus Dies Laughing)" for saxophone quartet and euphonium. Soprano Mary Hubbell premieres my new art song — American Elm, College Hall — with new text by poet Naila Moreira. Monica Jakuc Leverett will accompany on piano, and also perform some of my Lopsided Waltzes. The concert is cosponsored by the Smith College Tree Committee.
