My latest work was premiered last night in Denver by New York Polyphony at Grace Episcopal Cathedral. The work, a somewhat idiosyncratically (for me, at least) romantic/Straussian affair, is a setting of Abscheid vom Leser by the German poet Friedrich Schiller. The piece shares some sensibilities with (and was written to be performed alongside) the Schubert Op. 17 quartets.
