Here and Now, presented by Sacra/Profana, will include a my Love (&) Doubt. The piece uses two three-part choirs (SST & ABB) to depict the conflicting moods and emotions of poet Kevin Devaney's inventive split text. The structure is an architectural puzzle that mimics the layout of the poem, presenting each side of the poem first on their own, then marrying them together. The piece was created for the San Diego Pro Arte Voices — Disarm Hate — project in response to gun violence in America.
